Southland Companies is seeking an enthusiastic HR Generalist to oversee the HR function and join a results-driven team. The role covers recruiting, employee relations, and payroll, with growth potential as the department expands.

You will partner with the executive team to implement our strategies and address HR needs, while managing bi-weekly payroll and driving efficiency and engagement across our portfolio of companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant HR experience.
• 3-6+ years' experience in Human Resources.
• Experience in full-cycle recruiting, including onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting across the full talent-acquisition cycle.
• Source candidates and build active pipelines for openings.
• Prepare and process bi-weekly payrolls.
• Schedule interviews and update applicants promptly.
• Complete reference and background checks.
• Stay updated on compensation and benefit trends.
• Develop performance-review programs across companies.
• Oversee employee updates: hires, changes, promotions, terminations.
• Improve engagement and retention; foster positive culture.
• Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Build credibility through responsive service and policy consistency.
• Partner with leaders to align talent strategies with business priorities.
• Ensure policy implementation across the organization.
