Job summary

Komline is seeking an HR Generalist in Washington, DC to partner with the water business segment in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role balances operational HR tasks with strategic workforce initiatives, collaborating with plant leadership, manufacturing teams, and corporate HR to drive engagement and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in HR or related field, 5+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing, and strong knowledge of HRIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
• Understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with full-cycle recruitment and employee relations case management.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems (Workday, ADP, or similar platforms preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to travel around 25% to 50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for policies, benefits, compensation, and workplace concerns.
• Conduct investigations and recommend solutions for employee relations issues.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and culture.
• Provide onboarding for new hires and conduct exit interviews to analyze trends.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity through audits and documentation.
• Analyze workforce trends and provide leadership with turnover and attendance insights.
• Support performance management processes and merit review cycles.
• Administer benefits programs including health, retirement, and leave management.
• Coordinate leave requests (FMLA, medical, personal).
• Support annual compensation reviews and merit increases.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws including OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO.
