Job summary

Komline, a leader in advanced separation technologies, seeks an HR Generalist in Washington, DC to drive employee engagement and regulatory compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will partner with plant leadership and corporate HR to balance operational HR functions with strategic workforce initiatives, handling onboarding, investigations, safety training, benefits, and leave management while supporting data-driven workforce decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, industrial relations, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with full-cycle recruitment and employee relations case management.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems (Workday/ADP or similar).
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to travel 25%–50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for HR policies, benefits, compensation, and workplace concerns.
• Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues.
• Implement employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and retention.
• Provide onboarding for new hires and conduct exit interviews to analyze trends.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity with regular audits and updates.
• Analyze workforce trends and provide leadership with turnover, absenteeism insights.
• Support performance management processes and compensation reviews.
• Administer health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
• Coordinate leave of absence requests (FMLA, medical, personal).
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO and other laws.
• Support workplace safety initiatives with Safety and Operations teams.
• Maintain employee records and workers' compensation documentation.
• Engage in full-cycle recruiting for non-exempt positions within site and industrial group.
