Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics seeks a Director of HR to provide strategic and operational leadership across two sites, Elyria, OH and Auburn, CA, guiding labor relations, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and development. You will align HR programs with business goals and ensure a high-performing, inclusive workforce.

The role requires 10+ years in HR, 3+ years in management, and experience with unions and manufacturing. BA required; MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years progressive HR experience with 3+ years in management.
• Experience with union labor and manufacturing HR.
• Knowledge of local and federal labor laws, CBAs, and grievance handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR for two sites (Elyria, OH and Auburn, CA) totaling ~400 employees.
• Develop and implement HR policies and programs aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and professional development; manage performance and recognition.
• Manage labor relations, CBAs, and grievance resolution with union leadership.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and data confidentiality; drive HR process improvements with data analytics.
• Partner with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals and culture.
• Oversee benefits administration and communication; promote employee engagement and well-being.
