Job summary

ACE Hardware at the Kansas City Retail Support Center seeks an HR Business Partner on the second shift (Sun-Wed, 4-10s). You will align people strategies with business goals and recruit, screen, and hire talent to keep operations moving.

You’ll champion employee relations, coach management, manage performance, and ensure policy compliance while staying current on employment law. This role emphasizes safety and a values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
• PHR/SPHR preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years progressive HR experience.
• Ability to multitask in a high-pressured environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support recruiting and staffing efforts.
• Develop and maintain effective HR processes; provide coaching and guidance to management.
• Conduct employee relations investigations with guidance from HR Manager.
• Support performance management and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct New Hire Orientation, 15/30/45‑day check-ins, stay interviews, and safety observations.
• Partner with HR to support leave processes and workers' compensation as assigned.
• Support site engagement events.
