Job summary

The Arc Baltimore seeks an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to act as a strategic partner to leaders and employees, aligning HR initiatives with business goals. You will drive workforce planning, talent management, and performance processes while championing an inclusive workplace culture.

You will guide managers on HR policies, investigations, and employee relations, ensuring legal compliance and data-driven decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, organizational development, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HRBP role.
• Strong understanding of HR policies and local employment laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to engage at all levels.
• Discretion handling confidential information and sensitive workplace matters.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to translate business objectives into HR strategies.
• Guide managers on HR policies, employee relations, performance, and workplace concerns.
• Ensure compliant administration of policies and procedures.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Handle employee relations matters, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Advise on performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning with Talent Acquisition.
• Identify trends and propose solutions to improve engagement and retention.
• Support compensation, benefits, leave administration, and HR programs as needed.
• Maintain confidential HR records and generate reports from HRIS.
