Job summary

Holland America Line is seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic advisor to leaders across Holland America Line and Seabourn, aligning people strategies with business objectives and driving organizational performance and employee engagement.

This role partners with executives and people leaders to guide talent management, organizational design, succession planning, and workforce planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in a specialist role within employee relations or human resources.
• Certification in HR or related field (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR advisor to business leaders, aligning people strategies with organizational priorities and business objectives.
• Partner with leadership teams to assess organizational effectiveness and implement solutions that improve performance, collaboration, and workforce capability.
• Provide strategic guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, restructuring, and change initiatives.
• Use business insights, workforce data, and employee feedback to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend proactive solutions.
• Influence leadership decision-making by balancing business needs, employee experience, and organizational objectives.
• Coach leaders on effective people leadership practices, employee development, and building high-perform­ing teams.
• Identify critical talent needs and collaborate with Recruiting and Learning & Development teams to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
• Support career development initiatives and succession strategies that strengthen organizational bench strength and future leadership pipelines.
• Facilitate talent discussions and development planning sessions across client groups.

Education
