Job summary

Holland America Line is seeking an HR Services Manager to run the HR office operations aboard our global fleet. You will oversee team welfare, onboarding, records, and policy implementation while supporting the HRM with day-to-day tasks.

The role requires strong leadership, shipboard HR experience, and the ability to liaise with shoreside and onboard teams to ensure compliant, efficient HR processes across ports and vessels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR positions showing progressive growth in responsibility or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Prior shipboard experience preferable
• Strong analytical and management skills
• Commitment to follow established policies and procedures
• Able to work independently to perform objective audit and reporting tasks
• Able to communicate effectively with shipboard personnel
• Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
• Leadership, training and organizational skills demonstrated through past experience
• Maintain confidentiality of information at all times
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Fidelio and MAPS

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the HR office onboard.
• Support crew onboarding, rotations, and documentation processes.
• Maintain Fidelio crew data and HR records with accuracy.
• Coordinate crew welfare events and manage the CRC budget.
• Assist in performance management and ER matters as instructed by HRM.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Liaise with shoreside HR, planning team, and captain to meet ship’s needs.
• Prepare reports and communications for onboard leadership and corporate offices.
• Supervise HR coordinator and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Attend meetings as required.
