Job summary

Amentum is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to support the Modernization business line. Based in Sierra Vista, AZ, the HRBP will partner with program leaders to foster a high‑performing, inclusive culture, drive policy implementation, and coordinate staffing and onboarding with Talent Acquisition and Operations.

The role requires 5+ years HR experience, federal/state law knowledge, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on HR experience.
HR leadership to a diverse workforce.
Knowledge of recruiting, talent management, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training & performance management.
Strong knowledge of federal/state employment laws.
Strong written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Partner with Program Managers and leaders to foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture and support workforce development.
Implement HR policies and best practices, drive organizational change, and advocate for business needs.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Operations to assess staffing and onboarding efficiency.
Advise managers on performance management, employee relations, communications, training, and policy interpretation.
Provide on‑site guidance and actions to strengthen engagement and address workforce concerns.
Lead group presentations on policies, processes, and onboarding initiatives.
