Job summary

The Westin Chicago North Shore is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to lead all revenue and yield strategies across group, transient, meetings, and events. You will shape pricing, market mix, and acquisition efforts while driving profitability and guest satisfaction.

You will participate in hotel leadership as an Executive Committee member and guide a high-performing sales team. This on-site role requires deep knowledge of revenue management, strategic planning, and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

Requires 5 or more years of Director of Sales & Marketing experience.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to lead and motivate multiple levels of managers.
Extensive knowledge of revenue management and budgetary analysis.

Responsibilities

Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel.
Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, and budgets.
Develop rates, group ceilings and deployment strategies through review of competitive data and demand analysis.
Recruit, direct, manage, train and counsel sales staff and oversee related employment compliance.
Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings.
Conduct daily/weekly business review meetings, management meetings and other required meetings.
Manage advertising, public relations and promotional activities.
