Job summary

The Westin Annapolis is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the hotel’s total room, banquet, catering and event revenue efforts. This role oversees market mix, pricing, and direct sales, guiding the team to meet budget, forecast, and profitability targets across all market segments.

You will recruit, train and manage sales staff, develop strategic plans, monitor performance reports, and collaborate with marketing and public relations to drive occupancy and revenue.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales and marketing leadership in a similar sized operation.
• Strong budgeting, revenue management and market analysis capabilities.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and manage sales staff and leadership teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Direct the solicitation efforts of the sales staff for group room sales and catering.
• Develop and execute market, pricing, and distribution strategies to meet forecasts.
• Coordinate reports including annual/monthly forecast, marketing budget and sales metrics.
• Represent the hotel in community and industry events and lead a high-performing sales team.
