Job summary

Community Health Systems of Wisconsin seeks a Controller to oversee accounting, financial reporting, grants, and internal controls in a nonprofit healthcare setting. You will partner with executive leadership to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial information for decision-making.

Responsibilities include month-end close, budgeting support, audit coordination, cash management, payroll accounting, and capital assets, with a focus on strong leadership and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible accounting or financial management experience.
• Healthcare, nonprofit, or community health center experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with external audits and internal control processes required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Manage grants & restricted funds accounting and compliance.
• Coordinate audits and strengthen internal controls.
