Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with Healthcare Industry experience to join the CAAS team in Minnesota or Appleton, WI. You will lead GAAP accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting for healthcare clients, guiding staff and coordinating with management and stakeholders.

In this role you will ensure accurate financial statements, strengthen internal controls, and help clients mitigate risk while supporting strategic financial planning and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA certification preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of experience as a Controller or equivalent.
• Healthcare industry experience highly preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain GAAP-based financial statements and internal controls.
• Coordinate budgeting, procurement, and investment activities.
• Prepare financial information and statements for regulatory reporting.
• Advise management on financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor KPIs and oversee accounting staff performance.
