Job summary

Journey in Georgia is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations for our healthcare services. The role oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate records.

You will mentor the accounting team, partner with operations leadership, prepare management dashboards, and support audits, acquisitions, or facility integrations with a focus on profitability and financial discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in healthcare services or long-term care strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare reimbursement practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with accounting and ERP software; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare accounting standards.
• Prepare and review financial reports, variance analyses, and management dashboards.
