Job summary

Community Clinic is seeking a Controller to provide day-to-day leadership of the accounting function. You will supervise the accounting team, oversee monthly closes, and ensure GAAP compliance while producing timely financial reporting for executives and the Board.

The role requires a strong foundation in nonprofit accounting, budgeting, and internal controls, with a focus on accuracy and accountability across payroll, grants, and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Five years of progressive accounting experience including financial statement prep, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Prior supervisory experience leading accounting staff and directing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes and prepare financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger integrity, chart of accounts, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Oversee cash, A/R, A/P, payroll liabilities, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Provide financial analyses and reporting to CFO and leadership.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and nonprofit accounting practices.
