The Planet Group is seeking proven, high-performing Business Development professionals to drive national growth in Engineering, Energy & Manufacturing. You are a true hunter with a track record of generating new business, building executive-level relationships, and delivering consultative workforce solutions.

Partner with recruiting and delivery teams to address immediate hiring needs while supporting long-term workforce strategies.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of new business development in energy/oil & gas staffing.
• Proven ability to generate qualified leads and close complex opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building with senior stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to collaborate across sales, recruiting, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to generate leads and close new business.
• Cultivate relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers at all levels.
• Lead the full consultative sales cycle from discovery through negotiations and implementation.
• Generate new business through cold outreach, networking, referrals, events, and relationships.
• Coordinate with recruiting and delivery teams to align talent solutions with client needs.
