Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead the pursuit of new contracts and renewals within the Automotive, Aeronautical and Industrial verticals.

The role requires coordinating a cross-functional team to shape strategy, pricing, and value messaging, while managing a defined sales quota. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in sales of supply chain solutions, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, and a track record of quota attainment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
• MBA preferred business administration (MBA).
• Five (5) years or more sales experience with quota attainment.
• Five (5) years or more selling supply chain solutions and/or achieve quota attainment more than 3 times within a 60-month period.
• Understanding of services, costs, pricing and value. expert required.
• Noncommercial Driver License CLASS E.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal pursuit with pricing strategy and close deals.
• Coordinate cross-functional pursuit team through the sales cycle.
• Prospect new brands and develop industry networks to build pipeline.
• Explore cross-sell opportunities and transition accounts post-sale.
• Travel 40% - 50% of the time.
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
