Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Director of Business Development to lead the pursuit of new business and renewals with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes new contracts, team selling, and solution selling, with a sales quota attached.

You will coordinate pricing, service, and messaging throughout the deal lifecycle. Essential duties include leading pursuit strategies, building pipelines, negotiating contracts, and supporting existing clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business administration, finance, or related field.
• MBA preferred (business administration).
• Five (5) years or more sales experience: 3 years at quota and 2 years at 75% of quota required.
• Five (5) years or more in selling supply chain solutions and/or achieve quota attainment more than 3 times within a 60-month period required.
• Understanding of services, costs, pricing and value. expert required.
• Noncommercial Driver License CLASS E

Responsibilities

• Lead deal pursuit with pricing strategy and proposal plan of attack.
• Prospect new brands and develop industry network to build pipeline.
• Explore cross-sell opportunities where applicable and negotiate contracts.
• Provide continued commercial support on accounts closed.
• Transition new accounts to the next phase after 24 months.
