Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead new business pursuits and renewals, coordinating the full sales cycle from lead generation to close. You will guide a cross-functional team with clear deal strategy, pricing, service, and messaging.

The role focuses on new sales contracts, team selling, and solution selling. A quota will apply, with 40%–50% travel and a strong emphasis on automotive, aeronautical, and industrial verticals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business administration, finance, or related field.
• MBA preferred in business administration (MBA).
• Five (5) years or more sales experience: 3 years at quota and 2 years at 75% of quota required.
• Five (5) years or more in selling supply chain solutions and/or achieve quota attainment more than 3 times within a 60-month period required.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal pursuit and pricing strategy; proposal planning and pipeline development.
• Provide continued commercial support on accounts and explore cross-selling opportunities.
• Understand services, costs, pricing, and value; transition accounts as needed.
