Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Director of Business Development to lead new sales pursuits, manage the complete sales cycle, and drive cross-functional collaboration for deal strategies, pricing, and value propositions.

You will own the pursuit process, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage a sales quota focused on new contracts and strategic renewals. This role emphasizes team selling and solution selling within the Automotive, Aeronautical and Industrial verticals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
• MBA preferred business administration (MBA).
• Five (5) years or more sales experience: 3 years at quota and 2 years at 75% of quota required.
• Five (5) years or more in selling supply chain solutions and/or achieve quota attainment more than 3 times within a 60-month period required.
• Understanding of services, costs, pricing and value. expert required.
• Noncommercial Driver License CLASS E

Responsibilities

• Lead deal pursuit and pricing strategy; proposal plan of attack.
• Prospect new brands and develop industry network to build pipeline.
• Explore cross-sell opportunities and negotiate contracts.
• Provide continued commercial support on accounts
• Transition new accounts to key accounts after 24 months
• Adhere to Ryder policies and procedures including Travel and Expense Policy
• Performs other duties as assigned.
