Job summary

Firehawk, a defense-focused propulsion leader in Addison, TX, seeks a Director of Growth for Missile Systems to own and execute the growth strategy for the missile systems line. You will lead opportunities from market discovery through capture, proposal support, award, and transition, partnering across government, primes, and commercial customers.

The role requires building structured growth pipelines, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering measurable bookings and revenue growth

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of relevant defense experience in government acquisition, operations, growth or capture leadership.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
• Active U.S. Government security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Understanding of defense acquisition, budgeting, requirements, contracting, and program development processes.
• Ability to independently build and operate a growth function while coordinating contributors.
• Strong capture judgment including opportunity qualification, teaming, pricing, and proposal development.
• Willingness and ability to travel 25–50% to support customers, partners, events, and capture activities.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the growth strategy for Firehawk's missile systems, translating objectives into prioritized opportunities and partnerships.
• Maintain a disciplined pipeline across federal and commercial markets with clear values, timing, and actions.
• Lead the full growth lifecycle: market analysis, customer discovery, capture planning, teaming, pricing, and proposal strategy.
• Direct cross-functional capture teams across engineering, program management, operations, finance, contracts, and leadership.
• Partner with the proposal manager to develop compliant, persuasive responses, white papers, and proposals.
• Develop durable relationships with government agencies, primes, integrators, and suppliers.
• Create partnership structures to accelerate qualification, market access, and production scale.
• Report on metrics like pipeline quality, bookings, revenue forecast, and win rate.
