Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, Inc., seeks a Director of Business Development for USSOCOM. This role focuses on long-term horizon scanning, opportunity shaping, and managing multi-year pursuits through deep stakeholder relationships to guide capability requirements toward Silvus solutions.

The position supports a remote work model depending on location, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, engineering/technical preferred.
• 5+ years in defense sales or business development focusing on USSOCOM.
• Proven capture experience on long-cycle DoD programs.
• Strong relationships with USSOCOM Acquisition offices and primes.
• Experience leading all capture phases: whitepapers, proposals, RFI/RFP.
• Technical understanding of US military needs and product planning.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of and drive capture for large-scale SOCOM programs.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain deep relationships with buying influences.
• Influence technical requirements to position MN-MIMO technology effectively.
• Manage full lifecycle of long-cycle pursuits from horizon to award.
• Collaborate with Market Development Executive and Account Sales for transitions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor actions, and funding priorities.
• Travel up to 25–50% as needed for customer engagement and demos.
