Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Director, Business Development to lead growth for the NIC/CIS portfolio within the Mission Systems sector. You will drive strategy, orchestrate a team of capture professionals, and partner with OU leaders, R&D, and engineering to win major DoD, IC, and international opportunities.

You will be responsible for developing pipelines, shaping deals, and delivering exceptional customer experiences while aligning with corporate objectives and budgetary realities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
• 10+ years of business development, capture, or strategy experience or a Master’s with 8+ years.
• Experience with DoD/DoW, military services, and U.S. Intelligence Community customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business development lifecycle for C&I S, from opportunity identification to proposal submission, award, and transition to execution.
• Develop and manage disciplined capture processes to improve win rates in competitive environments.
• Shape deals and strategies with operating unit leaders, PMs, R&D, and engineering.
• Oversee proposal management, win theme development, pricing, and bid/no-bid decisions per the BAP.
• Manage a robust pipeline across DoD, IC, and international customers.
