Convergint in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager to drive growth and build lasting client relationships within our security and systems integration portfolio. You will lead market expansion, develop pipelines, oversee proposals, present to decision-makers, and engage partners while collaborating with a high-performing sales team in a dynamic culture.

Education: College degree or equivalent; Experience: 5–7 years in sales, including 2 in commercial electronic

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of sales experience, including 2 years in commercial electronic security or systems integration.
• College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
• Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills; ability to recruit and lead a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Market Expansion: Actively identify potential markets and customers; develop strategies to expand the customer base in a geographic location or vertical.
• Develop Pipeline: Engage decision makers, build a business case, and establish a time frame for decisions.
• Proposal Construction: Lead the sales pursuit team to construct winning proposals with quotes and business cases.
• Presenting & Closing: Present proposals to decision makers and manage objections to secure timely go/no-go decisions.
• Partner Engagement: Initiate contact with partners and customers to grow the pipeline.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
