Job summary

Aloft Santa Clara is seeking a skilled Sales Manager to drive guestrooms sales for designated market segments and assist the sales team in meeting or exceeding budgeted financial targets. The role emphasizes creating strong client relationships and delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The position requires 2+ years of sales experience, a college degree or equivalent, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a willingness to travel locally to pursue

Qualifications

• Education: College degree or High School Diploma with related experience
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years in sales
• Strong communication skills in English and presentation abilities

Responsibilities

• Assist sales team in achieving and exceeding budgeted goals in guestroom revenue, profit and occupancy
• Communicate with Director of Sales/Revenue to review opportunities affecting revenue goals
• Conduct weekly sales calls to existing and new accounts and uncover new business in assigned segments
• Build and strengthen relationships with accounts to enable future bookings (sales calls, trade shows, etc.)
• Travel locally to conduct outside calls and promote the hotel
• Generate leads through internet, email, mailings, referrals, networking, trade shows, etc.
• Prepare proposals and contracts and ensure timely customer correspondence
• Negotiate sales contracts and coordinate implementation and setup
