Job summary

Ares Enterprise, LLC, is seeking an experienced Capture Manager to lead federal government contracting pursuits from qualification through award. The role focuses on developing winning capture strategies, engaging with federal program managers, and coordinating with proposal teams to position opportunities for success.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of the federal lifecycle, FAR, and contract vehicles, plus a proven ability to manage multiple pursuits in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of federal government contracting experience, incl. 3+ years in capture management or related activities.
• Experience managing federal capture opportunities from qualification to award.
• Strong understanding of the FAR and government procurement processes.
• Experience with DoD, federal civilian agencies, or IC contracting.
• Knowledge of federal contract vehicles (GSA MAS, GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, task orders).
• Ability to develop capture plans, assessments, teaming strategies, and win themes.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full capture lifecycle from qualification to contract award.
• Develop and execute capture plans with customer engagement strategies and win themes.
• Identify opportunities aligned with core capabilities and strategic growth.
• Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and probability-of-win evaluations.
• Manage multiple captures with milestones, pipelines, and forecasts.
• Collaborate with proposal teams to develop compliant, competitive proposals.
• Maintain accurate opportunity data and provide progress updates to leadership.
