Job summary

M&T Bank in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is seeking a skilled relationship manager to oversee Global Capital Markets (GCM) accounts. You will manage daily administration, ensure compliance with internal controls, and serve as the primary contact for clients and service partners.

You will coordinate risk monitoring, negotiate and review documents, and work with external parties to structure and close transactions. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of client service in Global Capital Markets.
• In lieu of degree, 6 years combined education/work experience with 2 years client service in Global Capital Markets.
• High level of proficiency with personal computers and pertinent software.
• Prior experience reading, analyzing and interpreting legal documents.
• Prior experience calculating amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.
• Familiarity with corporate structures, relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor administrative systems and activity to ensure accounts operate within established policies and guidelines.
• Review, analyze and provide comments to counsel related to negotiation of operative documents and agreements for assigned accounts.
• Coordinate activities related to monitoring risks and regulatory compliance with Legal, Risk, Compliance and Audit as required.
• Research and resolve issues related to control and client service aspects of assigned accounts in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Work with external parties, including attorneys and financial advisors, to structure and close GCM transactions in a timely manner.
• Complete account administration activities including cash flow execution, fee billing, reporting and tickler processing.
• Participate in sales calls with GCM Sales and prepare fee proposals to support new business opportunities; monitor aged receivables.
• Manage relationships and represent GCM at transaction closings, client meetings and presentations to expand client base.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenues by adjusting fees; implement approved fee increases and discounts per controls.
