Job summary

Spectrum Science seeks an experienced Freelance Director of Integrated Media Planning to join our cross-functional team, serving as the strategic link between channel experts, communications disciplines, and client imperatives.

You will bring campaigns to life through all paid media types, developing holistic strategies across paid, earned, owned, and shared channels in the healthcare and life sciences space.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of media planning experience.
• At least 4 years in a PR/communications agency environment.
• 4+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare experience.
• Strong ability to influence internal teams and clients.
• Fluent knowledge of paid media channels (digital, print, audio/video).

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify strategic media opportunities and influence clients and cross-functional teams with clear, insight-led recommendations that strengthen integrated communications and media plans.
• Develop paid media strategies that directly support communications and PR objectives.
• Partner closely with earned media specialists to build truly integrated strategies across Paid, Earned, Owned, and Shared channels.
• Plan across all paid media channels: display, native, search, social, print, OOH, video, audio, and sponsored content.
• Develop and execute endemic media integration strategies to reach highly targeted healthcare audiences.
• Collaborate with communications subject matter experts to ensure paid media ladders up to broader campaign strategy.
• Support estimation of paid media scopes.
