Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated in the United States is seeking a Finance Controller (Senior Manager) who partners with COFO and Finance teams to design, implement, and lead process improvements across governance, reporting, and controls. This role drives strategic financial planning, risk management, and SOX compliance within a fast-paced biotechnology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience; biotech/pharma experience preferred.
• CPA preferred; Big 4 or equivalent public accounting experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead cross-functional initiatives across the COFO organization to drive process excellence.
• Support enterprise transformation initiatives including system implementations and M&A integrations.
• Evaluate new accounting transactions and assess budget/forecast impacts.
• Design and support the Finance SOX framework and act as escalation point for SOX issues.
• Sponsor Finance Reporting & Analytics Center of Excellence and drive automation.
• Provide Finance Risk SME support for the Third-Party Risk Management program.
• Advise on month-end close and SOX controls with consolidation and reporting systems.
• Champion system design, adoption, and change management.
• Support evolving Finance priorities as a proactive partner.
