Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated in Boston (Seaport) is seeking a Finance Manager of Clinical Development to provide financial direction for clinical functions, shaping budgets, forecasts and long-range planning with proactive analytics to guide decision-making.

The role requires strong analytical skills, expertise with Excel/PowerPoint, Hyperion or similar systems, and the ability to influence across the CFO organization while supporting business outcomes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative/analytical field.
• Typically requires 6+ years of relevant financial experience and a team-based track record.
• Strong analytical and financial skills for complex business decisions.
• Expertise with Excel and PowerPoint; Hyperion or multidimensional DB; BI tools a plus.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of markets/products and industry trends.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Continuous improvement mindset and adaptability.
• Ownership over work with flexibility to adapt.

Responsabilidades

• Manages the financial performance management process for assigned clinical development functions (budget, forecasts, long-range plan, etc.).
• Proactively manages the financial planning process to provide forward-looking direction and identify risks/mitigations.
• Leads process improvement projects spanning the Finance organization.
• Builds analytics and reporting to support investments, forecast accuracy, and risk tracking.
• Collaborates with CFO organization to maintain efficient processes.
