Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. You will support multiple functions by delivering financial analyses, KPI tracking, and decision support to align with short- and long-term goals.

The role involves participating in the monthly close, supporting budget/forecast cycles, and building analytics/models to inform management decisions. A hybrid-eligible/on-site role offering comprehensive Total Rewards and growth

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
2 years of relevant financial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct the financial performance management process for assigned functions (objective setting, tracking budget versus actuals, etc.), including the monthly forecast process.
Support the financial planning process (budget, forecast, long-range plan) for assigned functions, develop scenarios and identify risks.
Participate in the monthly/quarterly accounting close for expenses and accruals, including SOX compliance.
Lead various projects within Finance as needed.
Support business case-based decision-making for investments.
Conduct headcount reporting, forecasting and planning.
Collaborate with Finance to promote efficient processes.
