Job summary

Freshworks is seeking an FP&A Manager to join our Finance team as a dedicated business partner to our global Product & Engineering organization. This high-impact role focuses on planning, forecasting, investments, and performance management to support informed decisions.

You’ll collaborate with product leaders to understand financial impact, challenge assumptions, and guide resource allocation with a thoughtful financial perspective.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or a related role.
• Strong finance business partner experience with leaders, understanding priorities and providing insights.
• Solid FP&A fundamentals including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets for building financial models and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted FP&A partner to Product & Engineering, translating financial performance into decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, linking headcount and investments to the financial plan.
• Build financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate investments and resource allocations.
• Analyze performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Partner with leaders on headcount and expense planning, helping assess tradeoffs and investments.
• Develop reporting and dashboards showing budgets, forecasts, and key drivers.
• Collaborate with Accounting during monthly close for accurate results and variance analysis.
• Deepen understanding of product and engineering cost drivers including cloud infra to improve efficiency.
