Job summary

Parabilis Medicines, a Cambridge, MA–based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an Associate Director of FP&A to join the Finance team. You will lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, translating business goals into actionable models, and partnering with R&D and Clinical Development teams.

You will influence resource allocation and drive consolidated reporting while improving FP&A processes, systems, and controls as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance, including FP&A, with demonstrated experience participating in planning and forecasting cycles.
• Pharmaceutical or biotech FP&A experience required.
• Experience supporting R&D or Clinical Development strongly preferred.
• Experience with FP&A systems (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Oracle EPM, or similar) and building consolidated reporting.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to partner with and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools for day-to-day work; baseline proficiency is expected, and advanced or innovative use of AI is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as FP&A business partner to functional leaders, providing financial insight for decision-making and resource allocation.
• Participate in annual budget, long-range plan, and forecast cycles with data consistency and timeliness.
• Assist with consolidated financial roll-ups and management reporting for Finance and leadership.
• Help improve FP&A systems, tools, and models and collaborate with Accounting and IT.
• Develop and standardize FP&A processes, calendars, and controls to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Track risks and opportunities to the annual budget and update forecasts accordingly.
• Build financial models and scenario analyses for strategic planning and portfolio prioritization.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly analysis and commentary highlighting drivers and actions.
• Support cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc analyses as needed.
