Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Strategic Director of Commercial FP&A to partner with Commercial leadership in driving financial planning, forecasting, and performance analytics supporting commercialization efforts. This remote US-based role includes occasional travel to Cambridge, MA.

You will lead planning processes, develop robust models, and provide executive-level reporting to guide investments and resource allocation for commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in finance or accounting; 10+ years in FP&A or related finance roles in biotech/pharma/healthcare.
• Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance management.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and translate data into strategic recommendations.
• MBA and/or CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual and quarterly financial planning processes; develop robust models and analytics.
• Analyze revenue, sales efficiency, and pricing to inform strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in finance or accounting; 10+ years in FP&A, finance business partnering, or commercial finance within biotech, pharma, or healthcare industries; deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance management; proven ability to influence senior leaders and translate complex data into strategic recommendations.

Preferred

• MBA and/or CPA.

High-Value

• supporting post-clinical-stage biotech firms focused on rare diseases such as PBH, Wolfram syndrome, and ALS; experience in revenue forecasting, commercialization, and market access; familiarity with biotech product lifecycle stages, from launch through scale-up.

Work setup
