Job summary

Flagship Pioneering in Cambridge, MA seeks Associate Director, Finance to lead financial planning, reporting, and accounting across the PM portfolio. You will partner with PM leadership, program teams, and external partners to drive budget discipline and timely decision making in a fast-paced biotech environment.

You will oversee close processes, develop financial models, manage collaborations and internal controls, and mentor junior staff, while ensuring GAAP compliance and cross-functional

Qualifications

• BS/BA in accounting or finance; MBA is a plus; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of financial and accounting experience.
• Strong US GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as finance partner to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for PM entities and programs.
• Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close activities and reconciliations.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Support audits, GAAP compliance, and accounting policy.
• Improve finance processes and internal controls.
