Job summary

Mixpanel, Inc. is seeking a Strategic Finance Associate to own end-to-end FP&A for a major domain, partnering with executives to drive data-driven decisions. This hybrid role based in SF Bay Area or New York requires deep planning discipline and strong modeling skills.

You will build scalable budgeting processes, collaborate with senior leaders, and influence investments impacting growth and profitability. This role offers equity consideration and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years FP&A/Strategic Finance experience with focus on G&A in high-growth SaaS.
• Proven ability to design planning processes and frameworks and influence decisions across teams without direct authority
• Expert-level financial modeling; fluent in SaaS unit economics, driver-based forecasting, 3-statement modeling and scenario analysis
• Experience partnering with senior functional leaders on budget strategy and investment decisions
• Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools, FP&A platforms, and ERP systems
• Excellent communication skills for exec audiences
• MBA or CFA a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end financial planning process for G&A teams from brief to delivery.
• Define 6–12 month financial strategy for your domain and translate into outcomes and leading indicators.
• Build business cases for major investments with clear assumptions and risk quantification.
• Design and improve planning processes, tooling, and data definitions to raise quality.
• Lead cross-functional analyses with milestones and owners; resolve forecast disagreements with rationale.
• Partner with budget owners to ensure data quality and alignment on assumptions.
