Job summary

Mixpanel is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to partner with Engineering, Product, and Design, owning infrastructure cost, EPD opex, and headcount planning. You will build scalable forecasting models for cloud, AI, tooling, and enterprise systems, guiding capital allocation across these areas.

You will lead workforce planning and develop scenario-driven models, delivering executive-ready analyses andROI-focused recommendations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in FP&A or strategic finance at a high-growth tech company.
• Partner to Engineering leaders to translate product velocity into financial outcomes.
• Fluency in cloud economics, AI/compute scaling, enterprise tooling, and margins impact.
• Strong workforce planning across departments and levels.
• Advanced financial modeling with scenario analysis for exec review.

Responsibilities

• Own OpEx and headcount budgets for EPD; ensure alignment with strategy and margins.
• Build bottom-up headcount models; sequence hiring with roadmap needs and scale.
• Forecast cloud hosting, AI/compute, tooling, SaaS, and enterprise systems; identify optimization opportunities.
• Evaluate build vs. buy, capex vs. opex, and vendor investments with ROI focus.
• Lead monthly budget vs. actual reviews; automate reporting and improve accruals.
