Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our fast-paced finance team in a hybrid Chicago office. You will own transportation FP&A, build and refine models, and deliver insights that influence budgeting and strategy across the logistics network.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in FP&A, strong Excel-based modeling, and excellent communication skills to present findings to senior management and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of FP&A or related experience.
• Hybrid schedule in the Chicago office.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint; knowledge of NetSuite, Smartview, SQL, PowerBI, Power Query preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough analysis on transportation initiatives each month and communicate key performance drivers and variances to plan to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to strategize and report on weekly performance related to Transportation; provide timely outlook on shifts in ship costs and margin.
• Manage relationships with Transportation team to build bottoms up forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support development and implementation of models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare the annual operating plan with the Transportation team to build plans and targets and convert to the financial budget.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting presentations for investors and the board highlighting key metrics and variance to budget.
