Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support transportation initiatives and drive monthly analyses. You will partner with the Transportation team to forecast costs, margins, and performance against plan in a fast-paced, hybrid Chicago environment.

You will develop models, build budgets, and deliver clear presentations to leaders and investors, translating complex financial concepts into actionable recommendations to improve profitability and strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years FP&A or related experience.
• Ability to work hybrid schedule in Chicago office.
• Strong financial modeling and understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with NetSuite, SQL, PowerBI, Power Query preferred.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build action plans.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly transportation analysis and report drivers and variances to senior management.
• Collaborate to report weekly performance on Transportation and cost outlook.
• Build bottoms-up forecasts with Transportation team and identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare operating plan and translate to financial budget with Transportation team.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial presentations for investors and board.
• Analyze operational metrics and communicate margin insights.
• Develop and improve models and procedures using financial concepts.
• Proactively provide solutions to business needs and optimize investments.
• Network with stakeholders to align with key objectives.
