Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead planning, evaluation and assessment of corporate initiatives, and to propose strategic alternatives to strengthen our market position. The analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

The role requires a bachelor's or master's in business, finance, or accounting, at least four years in finance/accounting, and strong Excel skills for large datasets,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years Finance and/or Accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets.
• Intermediate level skills with MS Excel such as analyzing large data sets, vlookups/hlookups, creating pivot tables, filtering options, waterfall charts.

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: To include forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Operational Initiatives: Identify and recommend opportunities for cost/productivity improvements with GLM/LM.
• Month-End Closing: Journal entries, variance explanations, GL research for billing opportunities.
• Customer invoicing, revenue posting to GL, monthly aging monitoring.
• Training: Financial training to operations staff on policies and tools.
• SOX Compliance: Audits, liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
