Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to lead planning, evaluation, and assessment of corporate initiatives and to provide financial support to senior management and logistics leaders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in business/finance/accounting, 4+ years of Finance/Accounting experience, and strong knowledge of income statements and balance sheets, with advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 4 (four) years Finance and/or Accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets.
• Intermediate level skills with MS Excel such as analyzing large data sets, vlookups/hlookups, creating pivot tables, filtering options, waterfall charts.

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: including forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Operational Initiatives: identify and recommend opportunities for cost/productivity improvements with GLM/LM.
• Month-End Closing: journal entries, explain variances, GL research to capture billing opportunities.
• Customer invoicing, revenue posting to GL, monitoring monthly aging reports.
• Training: provide financial training to operations staff on policies, procedures and tools.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: audits as needed, liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
