Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead planning, evaluation, and strategic analysis to enhance Ryder's market position and financial health.

You will provide analytical support to senior management and operations leaders, performing forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reviews across multiple business lines, while promoting continuous process improvements and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field
• Minimum of 4 (four) years Finance and/or Accounting experience
• Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets
• Intermediate level skills with MS Excel such as analyzing large data sets, vlookups/hlookups, creating pivot tables, filtering options, waterfall charts

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Operational Initiatives: identify and recommend opportunities for cost/productivity improvements with GLM/LM.
• Month-End Closing: journal entries, variance explanations, general ledger research.
• Customer invoicing and revenue posting to the general ledger, monitoring monthly aging reports.
• Training: financial training to operations staff on policies, procedures and tools.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: audits as needed; liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
