Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead planning, evaluation, and assessment of corporate initiatives, providing financial support to Senior Financial Management and Logistics Managers.

Responsibilities include forecasting, branch performance analysis, month-end closing, invoicing, and SOX compliance; requires 4+ years of finance/accounting experience and strong MS Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years Finance and/or Accounting experience
• Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets
• Intermediate MS Excel skills such as analyzing large data sets, vlookups/hlookups, creating pivot tables, filtering options, waterfall charts

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Operational Initiatives: identify opportunities for cost/productivity improvements with GLM/LM.
• Month-End Closing: journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research.
• Customer invoicing, revenue posting to general ledger, monitoring monthly aging reports
• Training: provide financial training to operations staff on policies, procedures and financial tools
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: audits, liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting
