Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead planning, evaluation, and strategic assessment of corporate initiatives. The role provides financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Minimum 4 years in Finance/Accounting with strong grasp of financial statements and advanced Excel skills is required. The position emphasizes proactive analysis, cross-team collaboration, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years Finance and/or Accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills: large data sets, vlookups/hlookups, pivot tables, filters, waterfalls.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting and business planning; analyze branch performance.
• Collaborate with GLM/LM to identify cost/productivity opportunities.
• Month-end closing: journal entries, variance explanations, GL research.
• Process customer invoicing and revenue posting to GL; monitor aging.
• Provide financial training to operations staff on policies and tools.
• Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and liaise with Shared Services.
