Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to lead planning, evaluation, and strategic analysis of corporate initiatives, supporting Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

The role drives forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis to strengthen Ryder's market position. You will collaborate across finance and operations, deliver insights on income statements and balance sheets, and contribute to cost reduction and efficiency projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years Finance and/or Accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets.
• Intermediate Excel skills for analyzing large data sets, vlookups/hlookups, pivot tables, filtering, waterfall charts.

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Operational Initiatives: identify and recommend cost/productivity improvements with GLM and LM.
• Month-End Closing: journal entries, variance explanations, general ledger research.
• Customer invoicing and revenue posting to the general ledger; monitor monthly aging reports.
• Training: provide financial training to operations staff on policies and tools.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: audits; liaise with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
