Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Financial Controller to join our team in Massachusetts. You will oversee annual budgeting, manage Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and revenue recognition, and publish timely monthly statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
• Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.
