Job summary

Jobot in Bristol, RI is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the finance team and own the general ledger, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. This permanent role also focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, solid GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel/ERP skills. CPA or Master's is a plus, with a strategic mindset for financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s or CPA considered a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or related field.
• Proven experience in bank reconciliations, cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting, and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional Excel skills.
• Experience with a large ERP system is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate large amounts of information with accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• High integrity and dependability with urgency and results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general ledger.
• Conduct bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow statements.
• Develop and prepare the annual budget with department heads.
• Forecast financial trends and outcomes based on performance and market conditions.
• Participate in financial planning and contribute to decision making.
• Implement and adhere to internal controls and policies.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure audit success and compliance.
• Support team with related tasks as needed.
