Job summary

Brightwheel is seeking an AI-native, building-oriented Senior Strategic Finance professional. You will own and automate core acquisition and Education financial models, build datasets and context layers, and develop self-serve dashboards to scale insights.

Strong SQL/Redshift, Excel/Sheets, and experience with AI coding tools are essential for rapid analysis in a fast-moving environment. You will collaborate across teams to ensure model hygiene, reproducibility, and timely, data-driven

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Strategic Finance, investment banking or similar field.
• Ability to read and critique SQL queries; not required to write all from scratch.
• Experience using AI coding tools for automation and modeling.
• Built Excel or Sheets-based financial models with strong fundamentals.
• Owned recurring financial or operational reports end-to-end.
• Maintained clean, current models and datasets with clear definitions.
• Adaptive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Support two business areas—core acquisition motion and Education—learning two economics sets.
• Own models for core acquisition: headcount planning, rep productivity, compensation, forecasting.
• Own Education models: order volume, product cost, inventory, margin per unit, ARR.
• Keep models clean and well-structured; ensure repeatable automation and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with analytics to build datasets, definitions, and context layers.
• Build automated AI-powered workflows for model refreshes and data pulls.
• Pull and validate data via SQL and Redshift; assist with ad hoc requests.
• Develop self-serve dashboards for both areas to reduce manual inquiries.
• Flag data quality issues or reporting gaps early to prevent downstream problems.
