Job summary

SHR Consulting Group, based in Alexandria, VA, seeks a Business Development Executive to grow our Federal/Civilian IT portfolio. You will lead opportunity development, capture planning, and client engagement across agencies.

Requires 10+ years in federal IT with 5+ years in BD/capture, a proven prime wins track record, and travel up to 25%. Salary is 150,000–180,000 USD annually, with comprehensive benefits including health, 401(k), PTO and training support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in federal IT professional services with a BD or capture role and a quota.
• Hands-on capture management through full lifecycle: identification, qualification, capture planning, gate reviews, and proposal handoff.
• Established customer relationships in SHR’s target agencies (e.g., DHS, DOJ, HHS, NOAA).

Responsibilities

• Grow SHR’s prime contract portfolio by capturing and winning new contracts.
• Grow revenue within existing accounts through call orders and follow-on work.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and capture plans.
• Lead opportunities through SHR’s BD lifecycle: Lead, Qualified, Capture, Proposal.
• Prepare responses to RFIs and Sources Sought, and present capabilities at venues.
