Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a seasoned Alternative Delivery Market Lead to shape and drive our federal strategy across national and regional General Contractors pursuing DB projects for the U.S. Government.

You will lead pursuit planning and officer-level relationships to position CDM Smith as the preferred design partner. You will build executive relationships, lead pursuit planning, and guide teaming agreements from target identification through award, traveling 20–40% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
• 15 years of federal architecture/engineering/construction business development or capture management.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Targeting and establishing direct relationships with regional and national General Contractors pursuing federal alternative delivery contracts.
• Positioning CDM Smith as the preferred design subcontractor early in procurement cycles and negotiating exclusive teaming terms.
• Collaborating with pursuit teams to present engineering expertise, constructability, cost validation, and phased delivery models to GC teams.
• Leading teaming strategy for DoD and other federal opportunities from qualification through teaming agreements.
• Working with federal CSLs to maintain a qualified pipeline of opportunities and next actions.
• Tracking federal procurement trends and aligning resources with prime contractor interest and probability of award.
• Identifying friction points between GC and architect-engineer teams during design validation and cost reconciliation.
• Serving as senior relationship and capture lead through teaming execution and transition to pursuit/delivery teams.
